Another Parts Trip to Willy’s Acres, Coulson, Ontario

Worth the trip even if you don’t have a Jeep to rebuild.

New NDCC military tires mounted on my sandblasted rims.

Markus separated my axle shaft from drive flanges for me.  

Inspiration for my continued effort.  Absolutely beautiful Ford GPW restoration.  He has two more in progress in the shop.

 

Install Front Springs

Front shackles installed.

 

At some point the front spring rear pinion was modified from the standard silent block to a greasible type.  Need new bolts and brass bushings.

 

Disassemble Front Axle

Right knuckle before disassembly.

 

Disassembled my front axle and noted that I have mixed Bendix and Rzeppa shafts.  Talked it over an going to leave as-is.
